What is recorded here

In gently undulating pasture, on a S-facing slope. Circular area (dims. 18m N-S; 16.5m E-W) defined by low bank (Wth 3.85m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.7m) NNW-NNE, ENE-ESE and WSW-NW and reduced to scarp (Wth 3m; H 1.2m) elsewhere. Enclosing elements obscured by briars NE-ESE and S-W and scarp deeply eroded by cattle SE-S. Possible entrance (Wth 4m) at NW and cattle breach (Wth 1.8m) at SW. Fosse (Wth 6.15m; D 0.5m) WSW-N-SE. Interior grass covered and uneven. Scar of old field boundary visible as a scarp extends (L c. 26m) (long-axis E-W) from NW of monument and is depicted on 1843 edition OS 6-inch map.
