Unlocated cist within townland which was discovered in 1922 and excavated by Mr. L.S. Gogan of the National Museum of Ireland in 1930 (NMI Topogrpahical Files). The cist consisted of a long chamber orientated in an E-W direction and was constructed with small boulders,which were covered by a slab all of which was covered by a small stone cairn (Waddell 1990, 133-4). Inside the chamber there was the remains of an encrusted urn containing cremated bones. The pot was 22 inches/0.56m high and had a rim diameter of 13 inches/ 0.33m (NMI Reg. No: 1931:378).
