What is recorded here

In fallow tillage, on a generally level area. A ringfort (TS062-103----) lies c. 90m to the N and an enclosure (TS062-106----) c. 140m to the SE. It is depicted on the 2nd (1905) ed. OS 6-inch map as circular area (diam. c. 45m) with a fosse from SE-S-SW (Wth c. 10m) with a field boundary running along the northern edge of the monument from SW to N and another running N-S along the E edge. The enclosure had been levelled when visited by Cahill (1982) in 1975. It is visible as a roughly circular cropmark on an aerial photography (ASIAP (39) 34, 03/08/1996) but is not visible at ground level. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
