What is recorded here

In woodland, enclosed by improved pasture. A roughly circular area (dims. 40m N-S; 42m E-W) defined by a bank (overall Wth 9.9-10.75m; Wth at top 1.8-2.6m; int H 0.7-1.15m; ext. H 2.75-2.85m) which is reduced to a steep scarp (Wth 5.8m; H 2.3m) from NE-E-SW and a well-preserved outer fosse (overall Wth 11.15m; basal Wth 1.8m; D 2.05m) from SE-W-NE which is shallower from NE-E-ESE (overall Wth 3.75m; basal Wth 0.5m; D 0.65m) with a stream from NE-E-SE. Another stream runs NW-SE c. 30m W of the ringfort. There is a gap in the scarp (Wth 2.2m) at SSW and a causewayed entrance (L 9.0m; overall Wth 7.7m; Wth at top 4.3m) at ESE which is defined by a scarp (Wth 1.1m; H 0.6m) at the NE and SW edge and may be modern. The interior has a slight tilt downslope to S and is covered by mature trees and vegetation. An oval pit (dims. 7m WSW-ENE; 4m NNW-SSE; D 1.35m) in the SE sector may be modern.
