On a natural rise surrounded by undulating pasture. Monument was partially damaged in the 1950s during land clearance work, which included cutting drains around the exterior, probably re-cutting the existing fosse. It is still largely intact and consists of a roughly circular area (diam. 49.7m N-S; 57.6m E-W) enclosed by a round-topped bank (Wth 2.15-2.5m; int. H 0.25-0.56m; ext. H 0.67-1.13m) and ext. fosse (Wth 2.1m; D 0.63m) visible in all but E-SE quadrant. The interior is relatively clear of vegetation, otherwise the perimeter is overgrown with scrub and brambles.
