What is recorded here

Uncovered during archaeological excavation of the N8 Cashel bypass. Decribed by the excavator as an irregular shaped feature (Wth 1m; L 1.06m; D 0.07m) filled with charcoal flecks and small burnt stone inclusions and interpreted as a 'Modern burnt mound' (O'Flanagan 2003, 3-6). A similar feature (TS061-157----) was uncovered close by (ibid.). Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
