In improved pasture, on an E-facing slope. Oblong area (dims. 36m N-S; 14m E-W) defined by remains of levelled scarp (Wth 2m; H 0.45m) which is best preserved N-SW. Scarp generally levelled out SW-N, although slight definition visible. Scarp straightened on E-side due to use of margin of field as driving line. Interior is generally level. Possible fosse (basal Wth 3.75m; overall Wth 10.55m; Dth 0.3m) at S, shared with enclosure (TS061-129002-). A sketch plan and sections drawn in 1954 indicate a fosse enclosing the monument from NE-E-SE (OS Field Memorandums). Depicted on 1840 OS 6-inch map as a sub-oval area (dims. c. 60m N-S; c. 40m E-W). D-shaped enclosure (TS061-129003-) is c. 60m to SSW.
