What is recorded here

In improved pasture, on a very gentle ENE-facing slope. Oval area (dims. 29m N-S; 24m E-W) defined by scarp (Wth 4m; H 0.4m) SW-SE, which has been partially truncated by field boundary SE-SW. Fosse (basal Wth 4.75m; overall Wth 10.75m; D 0.18m) W-SE, has been truncated by field boundary SE-SW. Pond in place of fosse SW-W and abutting scarp. Interior is dome-shaped. Shallow, curvilinear depression abutts fosse at NE. Possible scar (depression) of old field boundary extends (long-axis NNW-SSE) from depression at NNE. Depicted on latest edition OS 6-inch map as a sub-rectangular area (dims. c. 50m E-W; c. 40m N-S) enclosed by fosse which appears to be wider along N-side and NE-corner. Enclosure (TS061-088002-) adjoins to N. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
