On the W side of the entrance to the Bolton Library within the graveyard (TS061-025035-) of St. John's C of I Cathedral which is on the site of a medieval church (TS061-025013-). This headless, limestone figure (H 0.76m) is likely to have been a component of a 17th-century wall monument. The figure is that of a woman in an attitude of prayer with hands, though broken, raised and joined at the breast. She is wearing a pleated gown with wide skirt over a shirt or doublet with padded and ruffed sleeves and narrow ruched projecting collar. It is currently resting on a graveslab (TS061-025155-).
