Lying in the gravel kerb immediately S of the S angle of St. John the Baptist and St. Patrick's Rock C of I Cathedral which is on the site of a medieval church (TS061-025013-) and within its graveyard (TS061-025035-). A limestone panel (L 1.88m; Wth 0.7m; T 0.2m) which is quite worn and spawled in places. The decorative scheme is divided into three scenes, each within a round-headed frame defined by fluted columns. The central scene is the Crucifixion with Christ on the cross flanked by a figure on either side. The cross rests on a skull and cross-bones. The dexter frame contains symbols of the Passion, including a ladder, spear, pincers, hamer, robe and scourging pillar. The sinister scene is badly eroded, though a cock is clearly visible under the apex of the arched frame. There is an inscription between the dexter and central scene and the badly eroded suggestion of an inscription between the central and sinister scence.
