On S-facing slope of Ballyknock Hill in pasture. Monument levelled with no visible trace above ground. Ground disturbed, with wide ridges running N-S in area of monument. Post and wire fence, with gorse, replaces earlier field boundary which ran N-S along E side of monument. A sketch plan and sections drawn in 1954 depict an oval-shaped area enclosed by a bank (OS Field Memorandums), as indicated on the 1952-54 ed. OS 6-inch map (overall dims. 60m NW-SE; 38m NE-SW).
