What is recorded here

In pasture, on a NW-facing slope; Scrub on hillside to immediate SE. Oval area (dims. 26m N-S; 23m E-W) defined by broad, flat-topped bank (overall Wth 5.65m; Wth at top 2.2m; int. H 1.3m; ext. H 0.9m) NNE-WNW. Scarp (Wth 2.75m; H 1.5m) WNW-NNE, where monument has been raised on NW-side to compensate for hillslope. Fosse (overall Wth 6.65m; basal Wth 1.5m; D 1.15m) ESE-SW has been re-cut SW-WNW where it is partially truncated by field boundary (long axis N-S). Oval shaped area (dims. 9.5m NW-SE; 5.5m NE-SW) cut into ground and abutting bank at NE. Defined by a bank of earth and stone NW-SE. Entrance (Wth 1.3m) at N has a possible causeway (Wth 3.5m) at N. Breach (Wth 2.5m) at S. Possible remains of outer bank (overall Wth 2.2m; Wth at top 0.9m; int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.18m) WNW-NNE. Interior has a steep NE-facing slope and W-half is obscured by dense overgrowth. Enclosure (TS061-007002-) is 10m to ENE. Area separating the two monuments is poorly drained and is defined by a small water channel (long-axis c. N-S) where run-off from the hillside flows downslope. Recently constructed factory to WNW.
