What is recorded here

In improved, undulating pasture, on a high, natural rise. Semi-circular area (dims. 50m ENE-WSW; 24m NNW-SSE) defined by bank (overall Wth 7.75m; Wth at top 0.75m; int. H 0.85m; ext. H 1.5m) E-NW. Some rough stone-facing on exterior of bank SW-WSW and at SE. Fosse (overall Wth 7.5m; basal Wth 1.5m; D 0.65m) SE-WNW and is best defined SW-W. Interior is obscured by hay. Raised, level area (dims. 17m ENE-WSW; 9m NNW-SSE) defined by scarp (Wth 3.5m; H 0.35m) ENE-S is at W-side of interior. Substantial depression (Dth c. 2-3m) where entire N-sector of monument has been quarried in antiquity. Monument depicted on 1840-41 OS 6-inch map as a sub-circular enclosure (dims. c. 60m ENE-WSW; c. 55m NNW-SSE) truncated by the Cashel-Golden road across N-sector.
