In improved, gently undulating pasture, on a low rise. Sub-circular area (dims. 41m N-S; 40m E-W) defined by an inner bank (overall Wth 6.15-8.4m; Wth at top 1.8-2m; int. H 0.2-0.5m; ext. H 1.6-1.65m) which is reduced to scarp at SW where truncated by quarrying in antiquity. Causewayed entrance (Wth 7m) at ENE. Intervening fosse (overall Wth 6.6-7.45m; basal Wth 2.5-2.65m; D 0.15-0.2m) disturbed by quarrying at SW. Outer bank (overall Wth 3.3-3.8m; Wth at top 1-2.5m; int. H 0.15-0.2m; ext. H 0.2-0.35m) NW-NNE and is possibly incorporated into field boundary ESE-NW. Outer fosse (overall Wth 2.3m; basal Wth 1m; D 0.4m) NW-NNE. Field boundary (overall Wth 2.1m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.15m) NW-ENE. Interior is grass covered with a slight E-facing slope.
