What is recorded here

In improved pasture, just below top of a NE-facing slope. Sub-oval area (dims. 32m E-W; 26m N-S) defined by remains of earthen bank (overall Wth 5.3m; Wth at top 0.9m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.8m) NW-SE which is reduced to scarp (Wth 2.4m; H 0.95m) SE-NW. Fosse (overall Wth 6.7m; basal Wth 2.7m; D 0.55m) is best preserved SW-SE and is traceable SE-SW. Linear depression (Wth 4m; D 0.5m; L 13m) extends (long-axis NNW-SSE) from fosse at NW and peters out. Interior has a NE-facing slope. Remains of levelled field boundaries radiating from monument as depicted on first edition map are traceable at SW, NW and NE. Building (TS060-057004-) is off-centre to WNW and annexe containing remains of fortified house (TS060-057001-) is adjoining to W. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
