What is recorded here

In improved, level pasture. Rectangular area (dims. 66m NW-SE; 34m NE-SW) defined by scarp (Wth 3m; H 0.75m) which is best defined (Wth 3m; H 1.1m) at SE-end of NE-side and NE-end of SE-side. Scarp (Wth 5.7m; H 0.4m) poorly preserved along NW-side and may have been levelled outwards. Fosse (overall Wth 6.5-7.3m; basal Wth 1.5-3.3m; D 0.4-0.55m) at NE, SE and SW-sides; absent at NW-side. Fosse is very shallow at NW-end of SW-side and has been re-cut at SE-end of SW-side, where scarp is very regular. Possible causeway (Wth 7m) of-centre to NW of SW-side. Field boundary (long axis ENE-WSW) abuts and possibly truncates monument at N-angle. Interior is grass covered and uneven with a slightly raised square area (dims 14m NW-SE; 13m NE-SW) within S-angle. Two possible pond-barrows (TS060-20 NEW and TS060-21 NEW) to SW and E respectively and a depression to NE. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
