In improved, lush pasture, on a level area just above a natural ENE-facing slope. Semi-circular area (dims. 26m E-W; 14m N-S) defined by a bank (overall Wth 7.2m; Wth at top 1.7m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.25m) ESE-WSW and traces of a fosse (Wth 6.8m; D 0.15m) are evident ESE-WSW. The interior has a gentle ENE-facing slope and has been incorporated into the rest of the field as pasture. It is depicted on the 1st (1840) ed. OS 6-inch map as a sub- circular enclosure (dims. 28m N-S; c. 28m E-W) with a straightened side to the N.
