What is recorded here

In improved pasture, on a SE-facing slope. A sub-oval area (dims. 38m N-S; 56m E-W) defined by scarp (Wth 1.65m; H 0.15m) from NE-SE and the remains of a fosse (Wth 6.35m; D 0.15m) from SE-WNW. The fosse is truncated by a farm trackway (Wth 2.5m; long-axis E-W) in the WNW-N and the outer edge of the fosse (Wth 3m; H 0.15m) is visible NW-N, on the N side of the trackway. The enclosing elements of the monument are truncated by farm building in the N-NE. The interior is grass covered with a gentle SE-facing slope. The monument was originally defined by a bank, clearly visible on an aerial photograph taken in the 1960s (CUCAP APA 16, 13/07/1966). It is named 'Lisnaboola' on the OS 6-inch maps.
