What is recorded here

On top of a hill in undulating terrain with pasture fields to the E and S and a road runs along the N and W boundary wall. The church (TS059-032----) was located in the E quadrant of a roughly rectangular graveyard (dims. 73.6m NE-SW; 64m NW-SE) enclosed by a stone wall (H 1m) capped with a lime mortar. The graveyard is entered from the N end of the NW wall, the gate has a cut limestone pier on either side. The earliest graveslab (TS059-032002-) noted is of late medieval date and lies in the E quadrant of the graveyard. Headstones within the graveyard date from the 18th century onwards.
