In improved pasture, on a gentle N-facing slope. An oval area (dims. 22m ENE-WSW; 18m NNW-SSE) defined by a scarp (Wth 3.5m; H 0.25-0.65m) and an external fosse (Wth 5.7-14.5m; D 0.15m). The scarp is much lower NE-SW. The fosse is narrower in the SW-NW and NE-ESE sectors and is very broad in the SSE-SW where it has possibly been modified. There is a possible outer bank (int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.15m; Wth 6.15m) WSW-NW and a possible entrance at the SE. The interior is uneven. A sub-oval area visible on an aerial photograph (GSI R428/9, 16/04/1974) adjoining to N has been levelled and incorporated into the scarp of the enclosure. Linear depressions (general long axis N-S) within the interior are possible tractor tracks.
