What is recorded here

On top of a slight flat-topped rise in gently undulating pasture with an annexe (TS058-058002-) located immediately to the E. Roughly rectangular raised area (dims. 45m N-S; 28m E-W) with rounded corners defined by an internal broad earthen bank (overall Wth 6.5m; Wth at top 1.8m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 1.3m). At the external base of the bank is a wide flat-bottomed fosse (Wth at base 4m; D 0.3m) and a low broad external earthen bank (overall Wth 6.5m; Wth at top 2.2m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.15m). The internal bank is best preserved SW-NE. From NE-SE the internal bank is very degraded and has been removed SE-SW where an E-W orientated field bank lies along the line of the removed bank. From SE-SW the fosse has been almost completely infilled but the outer edge is barely discernible at ground level. The external bank is not visible at ground level N-NE and SE-SW. The original entrance is not recognisable. There is a modern break (Wth 2m) in the internal bank with a ramp into the fosse at the NE corner. The interior is level and clear of overgrowth.
