On a slight rise of ground with good views in all directions. Large rectangular-shaped graveyard (int. dims. 52m N-S; 38m E-W) enclosed by a high rubble sandstone wall (H 1m; Wth 0.6m) containing 18th and 19th-century memorials. Two medieval architectural fragments possibly from a medieval church (TS058-034----) are located in the N quadrant of the graveyard. Half of a small red sandstone conglomerate quern stone also visible in graveyard. According to the OS letters the graveyard had several ash and other trees of a 'considerable age' (O'Flanagan 1930, vol. 1, 8), none of these trees survive today. Roman Catholic church located to N of graveyard. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
