What is recorded here

On a natural rise of ground with good views in all directions. Castle (TS058-028----) located 270m to NE, holy well (TS058-027----) 177m to NE and second well (TS058-026----) 120m to N. Rectangular-shaped graveyard (int. dims. 38m N-S; 47m E-W) enclosed by a rubble sandstone and limestone wall (H 1.5-2.5m; wall T 0.5m) containing 18th and 19th century memorials. Protestant church, on site of earlier church (TS058-025----), located in N quadrant of graveyard as indicated on first (1840) ed. OS 6-inch map. According to the OS letters there were several lime trees of great age one of which measured nine and a half feet/3m in diameter (O'Flanagan 1930, vol. 1, 9).
