What is recorded here

In gently undulating pasture. This is the westernmost of a group of three ringforts with a second ringfort (TS058-017001-) located 20m to the E and a third (TS058-017002-) 10m to the SE. Ovoid raised area (dims. 20m NW-SE; 14m NE-SW) defined by a gently sloping earthen scarp (Wth 3m; H 0.65m) with an external broad flat-bottomed fosse (overall Wth 3.9m; Wth at base 2m; D 0.15m). The fosse encloses all sides and is best preserved N-SSW being very shallow and barely visible SSW-N. A broad shallow NW-SE orientated linear fosse (L 10m; overall Wth 8m; D 0.2m) extents from the fosse of the ringfort at SE linking to the fosse of the neighbouring ringfort (TS058-017002-) to the SE. The interior is level and clear of overgrowth. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
