In grassland, on a S-facing slope of rising ground in upland region with good views in all directions except to N. Nearby enclosure (TS054-026----) 250m to the E. Low poorly defined mound (approx. diam. 21m N-S; 13m E-W; H 0.3m) with small quarry hole (diam. 5m; D 0.8m) in centre of mound. Mound best preserved on W side. Not indicated on first (1840) ed.OS 6-inch map may have something to do with nearby coal mining or may have been a ring-barrow which has been quarried into. Field has been reclaimed with new grass sown and monument may have been degraded during this reclamation work. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
