In grassland situated on an E-W ridge with panoramic views of upland region in all directions. No surface remains visible of levelled enclosure. Monument indicated on the 1st (1840) 6-inch OS map and on the 1903 ed. (diam. c. 30m), though the NE and SE quadrants are not indicated on the later edition. Possible megalithic structure (TS054-014002-) in S quadrant of levelled enclosure. Fine panoramic location for monument not typical for a ringfort more in keeping with a prehistoric monument. Upstanding enclosure clearly visible on aerial photograph taken in 1974 (GSI S. 578/7).
