What is recorded here

On a natural rock outcrop, in grassland with good views in all directions, the ruinous church is located in the N quadrant of a small rectangular-shaped graveyard (TS054-013002-). Only portions of the S wall (L 5.2m; 3m), along with the SW (L 4m) and NW (L 2m) angles of the church (approx. ext. dims. 7.6m N-S; 17m E-W; wall T 0.9m) survive, with no remains now visible of the E gable or the N wall. Ivy prevented inspection of the wall fabric. The graveyard wall is 6.7m N of the inner face of S wall of the church, possibly overlying the church's N wall foundations. Several large 20th-century burial monuments lie inside the church. Known as Teampull Geall (White Church), it is dedicated to SS Peter and Paul (Hassett 1990, 39). A quarry is located immediately N of the graveyard wall. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
