No surface remains visible of a ring-barrow excavated in 1985 by the National Museum of Ireland. A ring-barrow situated 10m N of the medieval cemetery (TS054-002005-) on the eastern edge, situated on sloping ground and much disturbed by later activity. The barrow consists of a shallow flat-bottomed fosse (Wth 1m) enclosing a circular area (diam. 6m) with no traces of a mound or of a bank. Two pits containing small quantities of charcoal, cremated bone and unburnt animal bone may represent undisturbed burials (Ó Floinn 1985, 37).
