In grassland atop low hillock in flat pasture with good views in all directions, poorly drained land to the SE. The 1st (1840) ed. 6-inch OS map suggests that the enclosure (diam. c. 38m) originally continued N of the field boundary which transects it from NW-SW. The S section of the enclosure, as indicated on the 1953-4 ed. 6-inch OS map, consists of a flat-topped platform (H 1.2m; dims. 18m N-S; 9m E-W) enclosed by a bank (base Wth 2m; top Wth 1m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 1m) now mainly reduced to a scarp intersected by a field boundary at N and E which destroys the platfrom on these sides as a result the platform only survives from S through W to NW with traces of a shallow outer fosse (Wth 2m; ext. D 0.2m) at base of platform. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
