In flat wet reclaimed grassland with good views in all directions. Levelled moated site (TS053-059----) 150m to N. Moated site consists of a rectangular-shaped area (int. dims. 26m N-S; 29m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.5m) and broad, flat-bottomed waterlogged outer fosse (top Wth 5m; base Wt 4m; ext. D 0.4m) intersected at W by a stream running on a NW-SE axis. The interior is covered in whitethorn trees some of which have been uprooted causing a lot of damage to the surface of the moated site. Tower house (TS061-011----) visible c. 500m to SE.
