In flat grassland at base of a W-facing hillslope in undulating countryside with good views to N, S and W, higher ground to E, stream 115m to W of castle, church (TS053-045----) and graveyard (TS053-045001-) 50m to N. Watermill (TS053-045005-) 139m to SW. Earthworks of possible desterted settlement (TS053-045004-) to W, N and S of castle. All that survives are the grass-covered wall-footings of a possible small rectangular tower (approx. dims. 6.3m N-S; 7.4m E-W) in the centre of a possible bawn (TS053-045003-). Possible castle and bawn are attached to the S end of the graveyard wall. Dimensions and shape of wall-footings suggest that this may be the remains of a tower house with associated bawn.
