In grassland atop low E-W ridge in upland area with good views in all directions. Enclosure (TS053-025----) 70m to SW. An overgrown moated site covered in whitethorn bushes making detailed examination of the interior impossible. Monument consists of a square-shaped area (approx. int. dims. 21m N-S; 22m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (top Wth 1.5m; base Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.7m) mainly reduced to a scarp and outer fosse (top Wth 5m; base Wth 1.7m; ext. D 0.7m ) with possible causewayed entrance feature (Wth 3m) along centre of S side of monument. A modern road intersects outer fosse at E on a N-S axis. On the 1st (1843) ed. OS 6-inch map moated site is enclosed by a small square-shaped field which is not indicated on the 2nd (1953-4) ed.
