In poorly drained grassland atop low natural hillock with good views in all directions and Multeen river 150m to E. The lands all around the graveyard have been recently planted with deciduous trees and the curtilage of the monument has been respected by the forest plantation. Roughy circular area (int. dims. 55m NW-SE; 60m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (top Wth 2m; base Wth 3.6m; int. H 0.2-0.6m; ext. H 1-1.5m) with external stone facing in places with church (TS052-035001-) in N quadrant of enclosure. Modern gaps in bank at N and SW, farm shed built immediately outside enclosure to S, modern trackway bisects graveyard from N to SW to give access to the shed. Several places inside the graveyard where there is rock protruding above the surface which may indicated the location of graves associated with the church. Bank has been reduced to a scarp (H 0.6m) from W through N to NE, elsewhere it has been preserved as a field boundary. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
