On top of a natural rise of ground in pasture with good views in all directions, Killough hill to the NW and N and a ringfort (TS043-087----) 370m to the NW. The monument consists of a raised square-shaped area (int. dims. 31.3m N-S; 21.5m E-W) enclosed by a well-preserved earth and stone bank (base Wth. 5m; top Wth 1.5-2m; int. H 0.35m; ext. H 0.5m) which is intersected by a field boundary at N where the bank is levelled. There are slight traces of a shallow external fosse visible along the W side only.
