What is recorded here

At the foothills of Killough Hill on an E-facing slope, in pasture with good views in all directions. There is a moated site (TS047-088----) 370m to the SE. The ringfort consists of a raised platform (diam. 35m N-S; 33m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (top Wth. 1.25m; base Wth. 4m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.7m) reduced to a scarp from SE through S to W, with possible traces of a silted up fosse barely discernible and possible causewayed entrance gap (Wth. 1.2m) at ENE. The ringfort is in fair condition. The outer face of the bank at N has been quarried into revealing bank construction details where loose rubble appears to have been built on top of earthen foundations.
