What is recorded here

On flat pasture with good views in all directions, with nearby River Suir to the NW. A sketch plan and section of the monument from the 1950s depicts a roughly oval-shaped monument, defined by scarp (OPW files). An upstanding D-shaped monument is visible on an aerial photograph (GSI S.585/4 8.4.1974). According to the current landowner this monument was levelled in the 1980s. On an aerial photograph taken in 1989 it is only visible as a cropmark (GB89.AB.26 16 July 1989). It is barely visible as a cropmark of a roughly circular enclosure (approx. diam. 44m) at ground level. An enclosure (TS046-067----) is located c. 200m to the SW.
