On top of a natural hillock on a N-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area overlooking the Turraheen river valley to the N. There is a holy well (TS046-003----) c. 600m to the E. The natural hill rises to a summit inside a graveyard (TS046-002003-), with possible traces of wall-footings of a possible church, but not enough evidence to measure dimensions. A possible bullaun stone or stoup (TS046-002004-) is on top of the W end of the S side of the possible footings. Low rows of unmarked orthostats may be indicating the burial places of unbaptised children (TS046-002002-) or may represent the graveyard associated with the church.
