On top of poorly drained high ground in upland area with good views in all directions. A poorly preserved rectangular-shaped enclosure (dims. 15m NE-SW; 9m NW-SE), despite being depicted as a circular enclosure on the 1st (1840) ed. OS 6-inch map. It is defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 1.7m; ext. H 0.6m; int. H 0.2m) and slight barely visible outer fosse and is planted with coniferous trees in a modern coniferous forest. The monument may have been altered or modified in shape when the forestry was planted.
