What is recorded here

In flat terrain c. 400m SW of Kilcooly Abbey House and c. 300m SE of Kilcooly Abbey (TS043-034001-). This deer park is indicated on the 1st (1840) ed. 6-inch OS map and was probably introduced as an ornamental feature in the 18th century, either when the house was built c. 1760 or when the estate was re-landscaped in the late 18th century.
