What is recorded here

On top of a natural hillock on poorly drained land in Kilcooly demesne forest with good views in all directions. This monument is heavily planted around its perimeter by coniferous plantation. A poorly preserved mound (H 1.7m; top diam. E-W 17m x N-S 19m; base diam. E-W 25m; N-S 25m) or platform defined by a scarp. The SSE face of the mound has been quarried into and the presence of coniferous trees has caused considerable disturbance to the monument as a result it has not been possible to classify it other than as an earthwork.
