What is recorded here

Located on the NW edge of rock outcrop which has been quarried. A large lump of limestone, roughly square in plan (dims. 1.1m N-S; 1.6m E-W; max. H 1.6m). This large displaced boulder was possibly moved to its present position as a result of quarrying activity. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
