Situated on a gentle E-facing slope with the Poulaneigh River running close to the W edge of the site, in reclaimed pastureland. An oval-shaped area (diam. c. 30m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 1.3m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 1.24m) partially levelled at SE and NE. Site very heavily overgrown with brambles. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
