Situated at the N end of a raised plateau overlooking lowlands to the E and bog to the N. Two isolated cremation pits revealed during topsoil stripping in 1997. The first cremation consisted of a steep-sided pit (dims. 0.34m x 0.24m x 0.18m D) containing cremated bone within a charcoal-rich fill capped by a light grey subsoil and stone. The second cremation consisted of a shallow concave pit (diam. 0.42m x D 0.16m) containing charcoal and a few tiny fragments of burnt bone and fired clay (Stevens 2000, Killoran 24, 198).
