Situated on the brow of a glacial ridge in undulating countryside. Excavation in 1997 revealed a cluster of post-pits and small pits within an area measuring 7m long by 5.8m wide. Within this cluster an oval pit (0.6m x 0.5m x 0.2m D) containing charcoal lumps and silty clay with tiny burnt bone fragments and a v-shaped pit with an upturned crushed pot containing tiny fragments of crushed cremated bone were identified (Stevens 1998, Killoran 4, 173).
