What is recorded here

Situated on a natural hillock overlooking a river immediately to the W with a nearby ringwork (TN034-025004) to the SW. A raised circular area (diam 47m NE-SW; H 1-4m) enclosed by two earth and stone banks with a wide flat-bottomed intervening fosse (Wth 4m; D 1m). No clear entrance feature visible. The inner bank is mainly reduced to a scarp while the outer bank (Wth 2.5m; ext. H 0.5-1.5m) is best preserved at W and is totally destroyed at E. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
