Situated in an upland area with nearby mound barrow (TN031-018) to the NE. A hillock has been scarped and flattened on top to form a flat-topped burial mound (H 3.2m; diam. 16m NE-SW; 11m NW-SE). The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
