Situated on a W-facing slope of rising ground in a mountainous area on top of the circular mound of a well-preserved ring-barrow (TN031-015001). An irregular-shaped stone (H 0.95m; dims. 0.75m x 0.7m) orientated on an E-W axis with its broad face tapering towards the top from W to E. Evidence of packing-stones at base. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
