Situated on flat, poorly drained, recently reclaimed land with nearby fulacht fia site (TN030-013) to the N. This site, discovered by Mary Cahill of the National Museum of Ireland, consisted of a spread of charred, fire cracked stones which had been revealed during ploughing (Stout 1984, 84). Not visible at ground level. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
