What is recorded here

Situated on a slight SE-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area with extensive views. A raised D-shaped area (diam. 54m NW-SE) with the straight side at S enclosed by a poorly preserved bank (Wth 3m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.5m) mainly reduced to a scarp with outer fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.5m) and possible causewayed entrance (Wth 4m) at N. A quarry intersects the fosse at NE. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
