Situated on the SE-facing slope of a NE-SW ridge in an upland area with a nearby enclosure (TN028-082) to the NE. A raised circular area (TN028-083001) enclosed by two well-preserved earth and stone banks with intervening fosse and causewayed entrance at NW. Low grass-covered earthen banks extend out from the W portion of the site are possibly associated with nineteenth-century forest plantation as depicted on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map.
